The starting point of this project was a virtual reconstruction of the Forum Stadtpark building. This reconstruction was then deconstructed and reassembled into several smaller rooms that a player may interact with and attempt to escape from. Each smaller room consists of characteristic components of the architecture, feel, and look of the Forum Stadtpark. The resulting rooms are presented as both spaces, which can be explored with audio and visual interaction, as well as actual puzzles the user can solve to „escape“ and explore the next room. Just as all of the visual elements are derived from the virtual Stadtpark, all of the sounds were recorded in and around the Forum itself, during the installation „Wenn Räume klingen, träumen die Ohren.“ Once the player has solved all of the puzzles, they find themselves in the “real” virtual Stadtpark, where they are presented with an interactive environment, and by following the clues the game can be restarted.
